Project Engineer - Energy From Waste

Astute is acting on behalf of a leading operator of Energy from Waste plants to find a Project Engineer for their largest assets located in the South East of England. The Energy from Waste site in the Kent area has a capacity to process 550,000 tonnes of waste per year and generates 34 MW of power for the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Conception, delivery and execution of plant process and equipment upgrade projects on the facility.
• Carry out risk assessments, tender specifications and progress reports on projects.
• Manage, monitor and evaluate third‑party sub‑contractors engaged on site.
• Support the wider Engineering team with the planning and completion of outages across three waste processing lines and also steam turbine & generator.
• Coordinate and manage all statutory inspections for lifting & pressure systems covering steam boilers, common systems & auxiliary equipment.
