Job Description

SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Buyer I that will be responsible for working with project teams and suppliers to purchase materials, supplies, equipment and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES 
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers: solicit bids, analyze quotations, interview prospective suppliers, and select suppliers along with evaluating supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery time 
Work with manager to develop profitable purchasing strategies and propose procurement solutions that deliver value and reduce risk 
Create and maintain procurement logs for each supported operating group project 
Negotiate and prepare purchase agreements and purchase orders. Ensure suppliers adhere to contractual terms and conditions, including timeliness and quality standards
