Project Accountant

**Position Summary**

The Project Accountant is responsible for coordinating all phases of the construction job costing process including categorizing, recording, analyzing and monitoring costs and billings associated with a large construction project as well as several smaller less complex projects. This position also assures vendor compliance in order to manage project risk. This role is assigned to a large construction project, working closely with the Project Manager to assure timely and accurate accounting and risk management throughout the project life cycle.

+ Compiles, prepares and analyzes monthly project billings per contract requirements.
+ Performs financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus project budget.
+ Processes project accounts payable and subcontracts payable.
+ Manages vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s.
