PROGRAM REGISTERED NURSE (RN) or LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Full-time (1.0 FTE), 7-hour day, 10-month, school calendar position

These positions are to care for the medical needs of students placed in a BOCES classroom located in a special education host site program. Assistance with all medical aspects of the student's day expected.


+ Students need assistance with areas of daily living skills which may include, but are not limited to; toileting, personal care, feeding, maintaining safety during transitions, redirection, task initiation, communication, interacting with others and supervision for sensory activities and routines.

+ Students require daily tube feeding

+ Students need constant monitoring during and after feeding

+ Regular assessment of respiratory needs

+ The employee must possess a valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse license and be physically able and willing to meet the needs of the students.
