External Fulfillment (EF) is Amazon's strategic solution for expanding fulfillment capacity through partnerships with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers. Operating over 30 nodes across Europe, EF integrates 3PL facilities seamlessly into Amazon's network using our externalized Amazon Fulfillment Technology (AFT-X) to deliver the same customer experience as Amazon-operated facilities. With ambitious growth plans to launch additional nodes in 2026 across various building types (TNS, IXD, AWD, 1DC, ACIPS), EF plays a critical role in Amazon's network expansion strategy.

The EF launch process is a complex compound of multiple workstreams/phases, from initial network planning requirements through RFI/RFQ execution, contract negotiations, and operational go-live.
