Program Aide

About the Role

As a Program Aide, you will assist with the daily classroom activities and maintenance of the child care center. Program Aides are under the supervision of a child care teacher, and do not count in the teacher/child ratio.


What You’ll Do
+ Work alongside a child care teacher to help facilitate classroom activities, including: active supervision, sign in/out procedures, medical logbook entries, and accident reports
+ Engage with the children by playing alongside them, talking with them and asking them questions to further their development
+ Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, organized and engaging learning environment in the classrooms throughout the center
+ Assist with gathering materials, doing laundry, pushing meal carts, making photocopies and other center needs
+ Meal Prep under the supervision of a child care teacher
+ Clean and sanitize classroom and materials
+ Additional tasks may be assigned
