Position Overview

Tenured Professor (Associate or Full) in Experimental Quantum Physics, Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University. Full‑time, permanent, at the Otaniemi Campus, Espoo.

Responsibilities

• Lead an independent, high‑impact research program focused on experimental quantum physics at low temperatures.
• Advance research on solid‑state quantum materials, transport phenomena, or superconducting circuits, and identify novel phenomena and potential applications.
• Leverage the OtaNano national infrastructure, including Micronova cleanroom, Nanomicroscopy Center, and Low Temperature Laboratory, as well as departmental equipment.
• Design and conduct experimental studies, secure research funding, and publish in leading journals.
• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in physics and related courses.
