Production Operative

GMP Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a dynamic and growing organisation operating within the specialist vehicle manufacturing sector. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Fitter to join the team on a full‑time permanent contract. The company is based in the Kidderminster area.

This role offers 39 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday. Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.

Fitter - Main Responsibilities

• Support the Production Manager and Foreman in developing a high standard of refuse collection vehicles.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, carrying out work in accordance with build pack specifications.
• Utilise power tools, hydraulics, and electrics during vehicle builds.
• Complete MIG welding tasks where required (desirable but not essential).
• Work efficiently to meet build process deadlines.
