Job Description
Due to strict biosecurity this job requires employee to shower in prior to staring the shift.
Position Summary:
In this position you will be responsible to provide optimum animal welfare at an intermediate level. You will advance in activities that play into the well-being and health of our birds including:
+ cleaning of barns and equipment,
+ pest management, maintenance
+ and proper running of feed and water lines
+ and collection of and processing of manure within the barn environment.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Proficient understanding of bird welfare and behavior – piling, mortality, illness, etc. Able to identify issues surrounding bird health – poor nutrition, illness and respond appropriately when necessary
+ Monitor and manage activities impacting bird welfare – including lights, air flow, heat, etc.
