Job Description
Responsible for ensuring the highest possible standard of food preparation and cooking for patients, staff and visitors. Specifically to ensure Food Safety is given the upmost consideration and that all legislative and departmental practices are carried out strictly at all times paying particular attention to allergen, ingredient, safe cooking methods and nutritional needs.
Main duties of the job
- Food preparation, production and service to the highest possible standard for all users
- To ensure all foodstuffs are handled in accordance with national and local food safety legislation and best practice with strict observation to HACCP operational systems.
- Strict observation of standardised recipes to ensure allergen and nutritional guidelines are followed
- Follows at all times food wastage standards ensuring this is kept to the minimum
- Daily completion of of daily audit records including food safety (HACCP) and cleaning
