Job Summary
The Procurement Planner is responsible for ensuring materials and components are procured efficiently to support the master production schedule and meet customer demand. This role manages supplier coordination, purchase order execution, and inventory optimization to ensure continuity of supply for manufacturing operations. The position plays a key role in improving procurement processes, managing supplier performance, and supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Review material requirements and initiate purchase orders based on MRP signals and demand forecasts Attend production and escalation meetings to resolve supply issues and prevent material shortages Provide updates on open purchase orders and delivery commitments during weekly order status meetings Release, expedite, defer, or cancel purchase orders through the MRP workbench Analyze suppli...
