The Roles

We have multiple clients seeking Privacy (Data and/or AI) Lawyers  to support teams within high profile Commonwealth departments in assisting with implementing best practice with regard to privacy and governance frameworks and AI implementation.  

The Responsibilities

The position requires thesuccessful candidate to provide legal advice on the following areas:

• advising on data‑sharing arrangements and governance frameworks;
• interpreting and applying Commonwealth privacy, secrecy, and information‑handling provisions;
• supporting Privacy Threshold and Impact Assessments (PIAs), including identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies;
• drafting and reviewing legal documents, including public interest certificates; and/or
• depending on the specific AI use case, the secondee may also be required to provide advice on automated decision-making (ADM) issues.
