Role

We are looking for a Prisoner Custody Officer (PCO) in Prisoner Escort Custody Services (PECS) at Weymouth Magistrates Court. The role involves escorting and supervising detainees through court proceedings, ensuring their welfare and security, and supporting court staff to maintain a safe environment.

Salary

• £24,596 (35hrs per week), rising to £25,555 from 1st September 2026
• Annual progression: Year 2: £26,191; Year 3: £26,684; Year 4: £27,180

Shift pattern: 24/6 across early and late shifts; flexibility required. Part‑time may be considered on full days only.
