Principal Scientist (m/f/d) Computational Cancer Biology

**The position**

At Boehringer Ingelheim, we work across the full R&D spectrum to develop innovative therapies that improve patients’ lives. As part of a growing Computational Oncology team

( @computationalinnovation ), you will play a key role in identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets. You will integrate multimodal oncology data and apply advanced computational methods to generate insights and support early-stage drug discovery.

**Tasks & responsibilities**

+ Design and implement innovative, robust computational and ML/AI workflows to support oncology target discovery and expand data-driven in-house capabilities.
+ Lead internal and external scientific collaborations, positioning novel targets within defined patient cohorts and proposing clear validation strategies.
+ Demonstrate strong project leadership by proactively driving computational workstreams across early oncology programs and delivering reliable, timely outcomes.
