Job Description

The Principal Mechanical Engineer’s main duties will be to lead a team of Mechanical Engineers reporting to the Discipline Lead M&E and act as MEP Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer on MEP projects allocated to them by the Discipline Lead M&E. The Principal Mechanical Engineer will be accountable for the design delivery of Mechanical Design allocated to MEP Projects
Involved in major projects within the Engineering discipline covering both rail and non-rail services
Ensuring projects are completed to meet all client’s requirements and applicable standards and to the agreed project programme.
Ensuring projects are completed to the agreed budget.
Plan the project works and provide forward view resource forecasting to enable the team leader to allocate suitable resource to the projects.
Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise the changes with the SYSTRA Project Management Team.
