Principal LV Engineer (Rail)

Job description

• Lead and manage the technical and commercial delivery of electrical design packages across rail infrastructure projects with a focus on high voltage (HV) substation, traction power and LV design.
• Develop concept and detailed designs,  key elements of design deliverables including technical reports, electrical calculations and design specifications
• Review CAD drawings and ensure thorough documentation of all design work.
• Mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Act as Lead Engineer/CRE, Checker on projects, ensuring all outputs are delivered on time, to budget and to client expectations.
• Ensure accuracy in drawings and calculations, designs comply with all relevant regulations, including CDM and Health & Safety legislation
