Principal Database Reliability Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• 6+ years of hands-on experience administering PostgreSQL databases in high-volume, mission-critical environments
• Advanced proficiency with AWS services (RDS, EC2, S3) for cloud-based database management.
• Experience with database cloud migration and cross-platform migrations.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell) for automation and tooling.
• Demonstrated ability in high availability and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Deep understanding of database security, upgrades, and version control.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills and expertise in performance optimization.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and independently learn new technologies.
• Willingness to participate in rotational on-call support and weekend maintenance.
