Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician (Training post - Annex 21)

Job Overview

This is a fixed‑term contract/secondment starting 14/09/2026 and ending 13/09/2028 due to funding. If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee applying as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application. The training post provides the opportunity to gain the experience and qualification(s) needed to register as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Training Programme

During the two‑year training you will be expected to gain experience that reflects the changing and expanding roles of a Pharmacy Technician. Successful completion of the programme enables you to apply to the GPhC for registration as a pharmacy technician and to seek employment as one.

Pay: 1^st year – 70% of the top rate of band 4 pay; 2^nd year – 75% of the top rate of band 4 pay.
