Powerline Lead Worker

Job Description

Reporting to the Electric Service Manager, the Powerline Lead Worker supervises, and maintains, installs, troubleshoots, and repairs both high and low voltage electric distribution systems as required. Performs other activities including substation construction, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance, including; load tap changer maintenance, station breaker installation and maintenance, bus installation and maintenance, and transformer installation and maintenance. Performs transformer and main line fuse replacement as required. Utilizes hot work equipment and tools. Operates excavator, backhoe, trencher, line/service trucks, fork trucks, horizontal boring machine and other equipment for electrical system installation and maintenance. Supervises and installs and maintains both underground and overhead electrical systems. Place and remove grounds on deenergized systems as required.
