Postdoctoral Researcher in Electrolytes for Sodium Ion Batteries (Vitoria-Gasteiz)

JOB DESCRIPTION

CIC energiGUNE is recruiting a researcher for the Organic and Hybrid Materials Research Group for Na-ion Research Line.

Main job functions

• Rationally design and develop novel electrolytes for sodium‑ion batteries.
• Perform advanced characterization of electrolytes.
• Investigate the interfacial behavior of electrolytes with electrodes, focusing on SEI formation from electrolyte stability point of view (degradation mechanism, role of electrolyte components).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams working on electrode design and cell assembly to integrate electrolytes into full‑cell configuration.
• Conduct electrochemical testing (e.g., EIS, CV, GITT) and analyze the results to understand the performance and overall degradation mechanisms.
