The overall objective of the Good Lab is to understand the mechanisms that** **regulate blood vessel function and inflammation during disease states, such as ischemic stroke and** **Alzheimer Disease. The lab focuses on evaluating the role and regulation of Pannexin 1, a potential** **novel therapeutic target, within arterial and venous endothelial cells and how it contributes to the etiology** **of ischemic injuries and vascular-mediated progression of Alzheimer Disease.**
