Job Description
The Center for Sand Hazards and Opportunities in Resilience, Energy, and Sustainability (SHORES) and the Division of Engineering (Civil & Urban Engineering) seeks to recruit a Post-doctoral Associate to work on a broader field of geotechnical engineering.
Required Qualifications:
A successful applicant must have a PhD, and is still within their first 5 years since receiving their PhD, in Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on one or more of the following:
+ Centrifuge experimental testing (design, execution, and data interpretation)
+ Numerical modeling and simulation to complement physical experiments
+ Preferred) Proficiency in CAD and modeling tools such as SolidWorks for experimental design and apparatus development
