Polysomnographic Tech Student

Scope of the Work

Reports to Sleep Manager under supervision by Polysomnographic Technologist. A Student Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and designee (department director/manager/supervisor/technologist) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education.

Qualifications

+ Required High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Preferred associate’s degree

+ Currently, enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP or STAR designated online Self Study Modules in preparation for certification exam OR, completed ASTEP didactic education program OR, in a formal polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHE...
