Job Description
Position Summary:
Conducts nocturnal and diurnal sleep studies to include monitoring of EEG, EOG, EKG, EMG, Nasal and oral ventilation, chest excursion, and pulse oximetry. Incumbent may perform special procedures including CPAP and BiPAP titrations. Assists in scoring sleep studies interpreting polygraphic recordings. Tests are performed on children, adults, and geriatric patients. Position may involve travel to various host facilities within the twin tiers. Position may also require “call coverage” for Neurodiagnostics EEG.
Education, License & Cert:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) required within 18 months of hire.
Experience:
+ One year of clinical experience preferred.
