I’m working with a cybersecurity SaaS company operating in the banking space.

Their platform processes high-volume, real-time security events inside financial institutions.

Reliability really matters here.

The environment today:

• AWS (multi-VPC)
• Kubernetes + GitOps
• Hybrid deployments (core SaaS + private cloud clients)
• Event-driven architecture at the centre

Kafka happens to be the spine of that event layer right now, but the real need isn’t “Kafka on a CV”.

It’s someone who understands what it means to operate a critical message backbone.

It could be Kafka, it could be another broker, the key is having owned a distributed messaging system under real load.
