Under the supervision of the Duty Engineer, the Plant Technician is responsible for ensuring efficient operation and monitoring of all equipment in the physical plant.

• Ensures that operation of machineries and equipment in the physical plant are carried out safely and conforms to the machinery operation procedures.
• Records, monitors and controls all operating parameters and ensures high efficiency of machineries.
• Performs and updates preventive maintenance program on equipment as applicable otherwise coordinate with the activities of only approved maintenance contractors
• Coordinates closely with the Duty Engineer on duty for all work to be done and any problem encountered during his duty.
• Responds to emergency calls and assists the emergency brigade in containing the situation particularly in operating and monitoring the fire pump station.
