Plant Operator (D7)

As our Plant Operator within Westland Milk Products’ modern Dryer Plant, you will play a key role in producing high‑quality formulations that reach customers around the world. Your day‑to‑day work will involve operating advanced dairy processing equipment such as evaporators, dryers, and wet‑mix systems, while managing a highly automated and quality‑focused environment.

In this role, you’ll be hands‑on with the preparation, mixing, and manufacture of products; ensuring accurate ingredient traceability; managing sampling and testing; and helping optimise plant performance to achieve yield targets. You’ll also be working within the frameworks of FSSC, EMS, RMP and GMP, and contributing to the high hygiene, safety and quality standards that Westland is known for. This position is based in Hokitika and operates on a 12.25‑hour rotating shift roster (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off).
