Plant Engineer

SUMMARY: This position provides engineering support and project management for large capital projects and cost reduction initiatives. Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all the duties listed below:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned.
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
•Manufacturing Engineering Projects. (Scope, cost, justification, and timing).
• Cost Reduction: workflow optimizations to reduce pack labor, secondary packaging and freight cost analysis for Silgan plastic bottle plants in US and Canada
• Identify and implement productivity improvements.
• Develop an infrastructure plan to achieve standardization of utilities at each production plant. i.e. compressed air, chilled water and tower water and electrical distribution.
• Provide plant engineering support as required.
• Provide engineering, PPE, or training solutions to high exposure area...
