Pipefitter/Welder – Fort Erie Plant

Siltech Corporation, a Canadian owned global provider of organo-functional silicone specialties, is looking to hire immediately a full time, permanent Pipefitter/Welder for our new Fort Erie Plant. This position is responsible for welding plant equipment safely and to engineering specifications. Performs other maintenance duties to support maintenance team as required.

Main Duties

• Completes piping and equipment installations
• Welds, threads and pipe fits in the shop and in the field
• Welds pipe supports to structural steel members
• Tests and performs quality control on pipe systems
• Maintains equipment so it is available for production when required
• Works with contractors on required project activities
• Builds and installs required upgrades as defined by engineering
• Recommends changes/upgrades to management for implementation
