Summary This position is in the Architect of the Capitol, Assistant Superintendent, Senate Office Buildings, Facility Operations Division, Maintenance Branch, Plumbing Section. As a Pipefitter, you will serve as a Journeyman level Pipefitter and/or Plumber performing troubleshooting, repairing and installing plumbing systems and components in assigned Capitol Complex work sites that include monumental iconic historic buildings with a complex infrastructure on Capitol Hill. Responsibilities The ideal candidate for this position must hold a current 5G Pipe Welder Certification. Possession of a class 6G Certification is highly desirable. Tour of duty for this position is: Monday-Friday 6:30AM -3:00PM. The individual selected for this position will: This is an Essential-Employee Position. The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations. Work schedule will include mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends on a regular and recurring basis...
