**Job Description:**

1. Reads and understands blueprints, drawings and sketches.
2. Selects proper size and type of building materials according to the project specifications and dimensions.
3. Prepares the layout using rule, framing square, and chalk line.
4. Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
5. Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, using skill saws, band saws, etc.
6. Assembles cut and shaped materials by fastening them together with nails or screws.
7. Verifies the trueness of a structure using a plumb bob and carpenters level.
8. Erects shoring and installs plywood decking.
9. Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
10. Unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
11. Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
12. Cleans tools and equipment.
