The Service actively participates in teaching and training of medical students, interns, and residents. Duties included but are not limited to:

• Privileges to evaluate, diagnose, consult, provide pre, intra- and postoperative surgical care and perform surgical procedures
• Conditions, illnesses and injuries of the alimentary tract, abdomen and its contents (except as specified in Additional Privileges)
• Hernia Repair- Breasts, skin and soft tissue (except as specified in Additional Privileges)
