Physician Assistant (Orthopedics)

Summary The Long Beach VA Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (Orthopedics) to work Full Time in the Surgical Health Care Group. Responsibilities The Physician Assistant will work exclusively in the orthopedic clinic. The PA will be expected to see new patient consults, post-surgical follow ups, ability to read x-rays, CT, and MRI.Other duties include, but are not limited to: Participation in staff meetings, hospital committees, and peer review process. Demonstrate effective communication to other staff and up to leadership. Maintain VA training requirements and timely completion of documentation and upkeep of credentials required for scope of practice. Adheres to employee health requirements. Indirect patient care; accurate and timely open encounter and open consult management, adheres to CPRS documentation rules and requirements and to clinic procedures for patient scheduling and access.
