Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for either a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to work in our Digestive Health department. This position is 100% inpatient. The APP will be working primarily with Gastroenterology with management of hepatology patients as well. The APP will be responsible for rounding, initiating plan of care on new consults, and working within a multidisciplinary team of physicians and surgeons to coordinate care for patients while admitted. 
Schedule: M-F, days
Weekends and holidays (TBD)
No nights
Essential Functions: 
Demonstrates clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities which may include diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems.
Responsible for health outcome of an assigned patient population.
Confers with collaborating physician and other health professionals in area of clinical expertise.
