The Phlebotomist II supports a fast-paced laboratory or hospital environment by performing high-quality specimen collection, processing, and documentation. This role assists with troubleshooting, training, and recommending workflow improvements while ensuring accurate, safe, and timely handling of all specimens in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

+ Perform blood draws using approved venipuncture techniques, including straight needles and butterfly needles, in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.

+ Clearly and courteously explain venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures, such as urine or fecal collection, to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.

+ Collect and store specimens according to established procedures and protocols to maintain specimen integrity.
