Job Title: Part-Time Phlebotomist
Job Description
The primary role of a Phlebotomist II is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshoot issues, train others, and make workflow recommendations. This position requires expertise in blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 7am-11am.
Responsibilities
+ Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate as needed.
+ Collect and store specimens following established procedures.
+ Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture and other specimen collection processes to patients.
+ Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles, and fully understand physicians' orders.
+ Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling.
