Responsibilities

+ Perform blood draws and other specimen collections, including venipuncture and use of straight and butterfly needles, in accordance with established procedures.

+ Clearly and courteously explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes (such as urine or fecal samples) to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.

+ Collect and store specimens following established protocols to maintain specimen integrity and quality.
