📍 Geel, Flanders, Belgium 💼 Full-time 🕒 Posted June 28, 2026

Job Description

  • Required background: a Master degree in Electrical/Electronic/Nanotechnology Engineering (or equivalent) with distinction (cum laude or equivalent);
  • Knowledge of analog integrated circuits (IC) and semiconductor device physics;
  • Motivated, independent, show critical thinking and scientific curiosity, and good team-player skills;
  • Excellent proficiency in the English language is required, as well as good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Damage to CMOS integrated circuits due to accumulated ionizing radiation effects is well understood. Several mitigation measures exist to reduce the impact of radiation on analog and digital circuits, even for high dose levels. However, the performance of state-of-the-art image sensors, which use in-pixel charge transfer to reduce read noise, quickly degrades due to ionizing radiation. The charge transfer degrades, even after a few kGray TID, creating a rapid increase of read noise and image lag. For this reason,...
