Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for a qualified PharmacyTechnician to support the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicineswithin the practice. Working closely with GPs, pharmacists, nurses, andadministrative staff, you will help optimise patient care and contribute tomedicines management activities. ThePost Holder will help patients to get the best from their medicines byswitching medication to agreed and approved protocols, improving repeatprescribing processes in General Practice, including promotion of repeatdispensing and online ordering, minimising clinical risk and aiming to reducewasted medicines.

Main duties of the job

• Process repeat prescription requests inaccordance with practice policies.
• Respond to medication-related queriesfrom patients and healthcare professionals.
• Conduct medication reviews and medicinesreconciliation following hospital discharge.
• Maintain accurate patient medicationrecords using SystmOne clinical system.
