Job Description

Summary
Thepharmacy internship program provides an opportunity for students to gain
hands-on experience in a pharmacy environment, functioning under the direct
supervision of a pharmacist while enhancing knowledge and technical and
clinical competency level. The pharmacy intern ensures that patient care is
maintained under the supervision of a clinical pharmacist.
This position reports to the Pharmacy Director and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.
Duties Assist pharmacists in preparation and distribution of medication, including patient counseling
Partner with pharmacy leadership in the implementation of pharmacy initiatives
Verify, fill and package prescriptions, take payment, and interact with customers
Assist medication history team
Complete special projects within the hospital and retail pharmacy operations
Participate in educational experiences
