Pharmacy Intern, Children's Outpatient Pharmacy

UPMC Children's Outpatient Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Intern to join their dedicated team!

This position is part of the Outpatient Pharmacy, Pint Size Prescriptions, team at CHP Main Campus. Pint Size Prescriptions is part of the UPMC Retail Pharmacy Network. We fill retail prescription orders for patients leaving the hospital and those visiting for clinic appointments.

This role will work evening shifts during the week (4:30pm - 7:30pm) and every other weekend (9:30am - 2:30pm). Students rotate every third Friday and every other weekend.

Responsibilities:

+ Assists the pharmacist with medication distribution, delivering medication, refilling automated dispensing cabinets, and exchanging emergency medication carts.
+ Participate in filling of medication orders maintaining patient profiles, performing prepackaging.
+ Prepare IV admixtures/chemotherapy and controlled substance orders.
