P&GS Mechanical Skills Operative (Parks Maintenance)

About you:

ECC Public and Green Space Operations are looking to recruit a maintenance operative to our Parks department to undertake maintenance works within our city-wide play areas. Ideal candidates will have a “can do” attitude, with a problem solving approach, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills. A knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements is desirable, as is a knowledge of using a variety of power tools.

Previous experience in a maintenance, operative, or similar practical role; Competent in the use of power tools and hand tools; Basic carpentry and repair skills; Good working knowledge of general maintenance techniques; Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload; Strong awareness of health and safety practices; Full UK driving licence (essential).
