Personnel Security Specialist

Summary The position is located in the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Personnel Security and Suitability, Investigations Division (DS/PSS/INV). The incumbent analyzes personnel security investigative information applying national adjudicative criteria and grants interim security clearances, public trust determinations, and final security clearances. Responsibilities Prepares evaluations of investigations against national level criteria for investigative sufficiency and suitability/security adjudication; ensures the work reflects objective, complete documentation adjudicating under appropriate standards/criteria. Reviews Presidential appointee cases, including adverse information which may have been developed by the investigation.
