Personal Support Worker (Personal Care Provider)

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is responsible for providing care to residents according to their individual care plans and for assisting in the identification of resident needs. The PSW maintains a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring care given to residents, ensuring it aligns with their established plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to the immediate supervisor.
• Assist in documenting information related to residents’ care as directed.
• Attend in‑service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assist in onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
