Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

Position Overview

Personal Care Assistant (Part Time) – salary £13.50 per hour in Consett, DH8.

Hours of Work

Sunday: 10:00‑11:00 and 17:00‑18:00 (split shift). Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00‑11:30. Finish time up to 18:30. Additional hours may be available to cover other carers' absences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general care duties and simple domestic tasks.
• Assist with cooking; basic cooking skills required.
• Care for 2 dogs and 1 cat, ensuring pets are comfortable.
• Maintain a happy and tidy home environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Part‑time availability as per hours above.
• Comfortable working with pets.
• Basic cooking skills.
• Local residence in or near Consett (travel costs may apply).
• Willingness to undergo a free DBS check; not required at start, but will be completed for the selected candidate.
