Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

Personal Assistant required to support a 16-year-old boy who lives in Middleton in Teesdale, Barnard Castle, DL12. He has an acquired brain injury, is a full-time wheelchair user and is non-verbal. The young adult requires support with all personal care, including feeding and accessing the community.

He is a very happy young man who loves his music, is outdoors exploring the community, including accessible parks and bike riding, and he also enjoys hydrotherapy.

Hours / Wage

• 4 hours per week term time
• 10 hours per week school holidays
• 2:1 care needed
• £13.50 per hour

Duties

The role will involve assisting the young man with personal care, taking him out into the community to enjoy walks and parks, helping him to stay engaged and enjoy his activities.
