About the Service User

E is 2.5 years old with complex medical needs. He is a typical toddler – loves singing, dinosaurs, art work, being outside, talking. He is growing and changing so much at the moment. He spent the first ten months of his life in hospital and frequently has hospital visits. Although his needs are complex, he has had his complications since birth so it is all normal for him. He doesn’t eat or drink, but takes all his nutrition through an IV. He has a gastrostomy peg inserted into his stomach which is used for aspiration and medication. E started nursery two months ago, going four days a week. He is thriving socially and academically. He loves being around people and talking to them; he’s a friendly, happy boy. E has a younger sister, 1.5 years old. They do a lot together, including wrestling!
