Perfusionist III

Job Summary:

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is also responsible for maintaining and monitoring perfusion equipment and resources in conjunction with Information Technology (IT) and Clinical Technology, including but not limited to all operating room (OR), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), ventricular assist device (VAD), and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices; ensuring the perfusion equipment (e.g., heart-lung machine) cleaning and preventative maintenance is performed and documented; assisting with and monitoring the duties performed by the Perfusion Team; assisting with perfusions and other staff annual reviews and trainings; actively pursuing opportunities for cost savings and providing input on capital request needs of the perfusion service; assisting and preparing staff work schedules including standby coverage; executing continuous quality improvement initiatives; educating and maintaining necessary staff documentation,...
