Per Diem Recreational Therapist

Job Summary:

Provides a total therapeutic recreation program to meet both group and individual needs. To provide therapeutic recreational activities through which patients can maximize their social/interpersonal, and physical capabilities. Utilizes therapeutic recreation activities and community resources to help facilitate improvement of an individuals leisure lifestyle.

Essential Responsibilities:



+ Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws.


+ Plans, organizes, conducts and improves a wide range of group and individual therapeutic activities (leisure education, wellness groups, and social events).


+ Continuously reviews and evaluates ongoing recreation groups and programs/services to meet the needs of patient populations.


+ Performs other related duties as required.
