Per Diem Attending Optometrist/Clinical Preceptor

The New England College of Optometry (NECO) invites applications for a unique per diem, non-benefits position as an Attending Optometrist and Clinical Preceptor at the Optometry Clinic at Pine Street Inn, in association with the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) in Boston, MA. 

This role involves providing care one day per week, scheduled on either Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, with an effort of up to 0.2 FTE, based on clinic and programmatic needs. This single day per week combines well with other part time academic or private practice schedules. 

We are seeking a clinically skilled optometrist with an interest in community-based care and optometric education to work in a clinic with a high prevalence of ocular pathology. Collaboration between the attending optometrist and student interns helps address barriers to accessing care in this population.
